We wanted to explore the amazing places that we can find in our country, so we looked for information and pictures about different locations in Argentina. Then, we prepared a PowerPoint to share what we found.

What a wonderful view!

6th Formers have been doing research and writing biographies of important people who have changed the world.

One of our children chose to work on Vincent Van Gogh, a Dutch post-impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art.

And all of a sudden, using a Cardboard Virtual Reality headset, we found ourselves walking into Van Gogh’s great piece of Art and experiencing a marvelous Starry Night from the inside! It was magical!

But was is Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of technology to create a simulated environment which places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds, like the one in Van Gogh’s piece of art.

MTV Show

On Thursday, October 10th, the pupils in 6th form had their Annual Concert. This time they performed “MTV Show”.

MTV( Music Television) goes on the air for the first time ever in 1981, with the words (spoken by one of MTV’s creators, John Lack): “Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll.”

This live show went on to revolutionize the music industry, and became an influential source of pop culture and entertainment in the United States and other parts of the world, including Europe, Asia and Latin America, which all have MTV-branded channels.

Our students took the audience on a trip to the 80s where we could meet iconic characters of the time using this show as setting. We had the chance of listening to great music performed by singers such as Madonna or Lionel Ritchie.

We would like to congratulate all our actors and actresses for doing a great job. This was the result of many hours of rehearsals under the direction of the Art teachers Marina Vibart, Samanta Vibart and Pablo Plebs. We would like to thank the collaboration of Diana Vibart who prepared all the props used.

Well done kids!

Ajedrez ♟♞♜

It´s the Right Time for Nursery Rhymes!

What an enriching and excellent tool to work as a school Project! Learning Nursery Rhymes helps children to develop memory skills as well as pronunciation, intonation, imagination and even rhythm.

They are also a great source of vocabulary. Besides, Nursery Rhymes draw children close to an important part of the British culture. Teaching nursery rhymes in the lower forms was a fantastic and profitable experience. Kids worked very hard and results were very positive and encouraging.

In October we had our “Final Assembly”. Kids were already acquainted with the different characters of the Nursery Rhymes and they all enjoyed dramatizing the short stories.

We all shared a lovely afternoon at school and it was really fun!!

We thank all the actresses and actors for their enthusiasm and we congratulate them on their oustanding performance! Well done children! We are very proud of you!!

Play Review

On Friday, September 6th, both 4th forms performed different versions of the play (Odysseus and the Cyclops) we read in class for our class project, "Fantasy creatures".

Since this performance was part of our final task, students worked in teams and first, they wrote their own versions of the play.

Afterwards, they shared their productions with the rest of the Junior School. Children had a lot of fun throughout the whole process!

Dinosaurs and pirates came to life in our classrooms!

Children have been enjoying the wonderful world created by Augmented Reality.

What is it about?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a growing field of technology through which real life is modified and enhanced by computer-generated sights and sound.

It uses the existing environment and adds information to it to make a new artificial environment. In this visual interactive experience, objects in the real world are “augmented” and they seem to be real and alive!

In class, some children travelled to the past and played football with dinos whereas others went sailing with pirates! It was an amazing experience for all of us!

Forum 2019

Is it worth exploring other planets if we can hardly take care of our own? Do you think that the way people learnt thirty years ago was better than the way our children learn today? And what about social networks? Do you think that nowadays kids look up to people such as “Instagrammers” who are not good role models for society?

These were the topics that children from ten different schools enthusiastically discussed at our Junior Forum held on July 4th at the Founder’s Hall.
It was great to see 6th form children expressing their views in English, discussing about Education, suggesting ways to protect our planet or giving advice on how to use social networks such as Instagram or You Tube appropriately.

We would like to congratulate all our children on their active participation and commitment shown: the “Panellists”, who made a great effort to study their speeches and represented us so well and the “Floor” who participated actively sharing their points of view. We are really grateful to those children that were chosen as usherers who welcomed and led children from other schools and helped with the microphones.

Well done children!! You all did a great job! We are really
proud of you!
